Trail Chasers - Shop Professional Land Surveying Tools

When it comes to setting up your outdoor home or construction project, having the right land surveying tools can make all the difference. While our Trail Chasers ground markers are fantastic for carrying and placement, sometimes you encounter tougher ground conditions that require a bit more effort. That's where a few pro tips and the right tools can save you time and frustration.

For Smaller Jobs Try a Dead Blow Hammer

A one or two pound dead blow hammer can be a game-changer for smaller projects. Whether you’re laying out your landscape design, garden, athletic field, or construction project, driving stakes into hard ground can be a challenge. The dead blow hammer's weighted head delivers a powerful impact without rebound, making it easier to drive stakes into compacted soil or gravel.

For Larger Projects a Cordless Drill with Quarter Inch Bit

For larger projects or exceptionally tough ground, like rocky terrain or densely packed soil, consider using a ¼” x 12” drill bit on a cordless drill. This allows you to pre-drill ground holes as you go, significantly reducing the effort required to set up your equipment. By creating pilot holes, you can then insert stakes or anchors with much less resistance, ensuring a secure and stable setup.
